We picked January for the wedding day since I have always wanted a wedding that had a winter motif. There are so many beautiful accessories and reception supplies to make the perfect wintery wedding dream come true. Presents, invitations, reception supplies – you name it, there are all sorts of things out there for any type of wedding decor. We went with a cool blue and silver look to our ceremony. The unity candle was surrounded by other candles with a winter style to them, along with simulated snowflakes on the altar. It was a magical wedding.
All of the reception tables had red table runners and white tablecloths. We put shimmering silver vases in the center of each table and filled them with lovely white orchids, and they matched the winter theme to a tee. Our reception place card holders were ornaments that looked like little snowballs. They double as both card holders and ornaments, and they do a charming job at both. As wedding thank you gifts for our friends and family we decided on these lovely toasting flutes and little novelty champagne bottles favors with bubbles. champagne flutes make great little thank you gifts. Our reception hall called to mind a scene of freshly-fallen snow in the middle of winter. The wedding cake topper we picked out was a snowflake made of porcelain, and our three-layered wedding cake sat atop a cake stand that was shaped like a sleigh. I picked out the cake serving set on the net, and it had wintery designs on it, too. The handles had little snowflakes done in white and wintry blue colors. It fit in seamlessly with the pen and guestbook set I had purchased.
The handles on the champagne flute matched the sign in book and cake serving set we had, all with winter designs. The other things on our wedding table went perfectly with them, and they were designed with a wintery blue and white look with snowflakes mixed in. Actually all the tables were exquisite and our guests were very happy with the wedding favors and place card holders they got to take home with them. The mini tiara our flower girl wore was hers to keep, and we got her a necklace besides, which she was very pleased about. Our ring bearer was excited because he got his own tee shirt and a yo-yo made of stainless steel. I got my maid of honor a bracelet made of crystal, and all of my bridesmaids received tank tops with their names written on them in small crystals. My new husband decided to handle buying the groomsmen’s gifts. He bought a best man mug and a neat pen set for the best man, and everyone else received a battery-operated digital clock. It was pretty obvious by the way everyone was laughing and dancing that they were really enjoying themselves at our wedding reception, a quite a few of them thanked us for the lovely gifts we had bought for them as wedding favors.
Everything at our wedding and reception was fantastic and I owe it all to the wonderful selection of accessories and supplies I found online. By finding deals on the web, we were able to come in under our budget. I found supplies for both the wedding and the honeymoon online. We got a ‘Do Not Disturb’ pillow to hang on our doorknob, along with hats and shirts for newlyweds. The decorative little pillow really came in handy.
