When you are planning a wedding and reception I think the hardest part is trying to find the perfect wedding favor for your guests. You could buy useful stuff, like something for the house, shiny crystal thank you gifts, or maybe some ceramic wedding favors. Whichever you plan on using for thank you gifts, you’ll see that there’s lots of styles for each category.
I’ve even found ceramic favors for my country themed wedding ceremony and reception party. Favors made of ceramic are perfect for any wedding you want to have. Like the little tea caddys that I ran across online with nice black ceramic wedding trays to place them on. There are plenty of suggestions from candle holders to gorgeous tea lights and even flower vases as ceramic wedding gifts. In fact, there were so many to choose from, and like I said before, gift shopping is the hardest part of planning a wedding, so, I saved that for last.
So, decorating my reception tables was the first task on hand. My centerpieces fit right in with a country western motif, as I used metal buckets filled with daisies, and used tablecloths with blue and white checks over all the picnic tables. The little barbecue grills I picked out as place card holders were so precious, and I thought they would make adorable little souvenirs of our reception for our family to keep. I figured little barbecue grills were a neat idea, since we weren’t having a catered reception, but instead, a large family cookout. To have the feel of the old west, we added little miniature cowboy hats for everyone’s place setting and set out cowboy boot shaped glasses for them to drink from. I chose the really lovely honey pots and dippers, with a heart on the end on their handles, as the ceramic wedding favors for our guests, instead of the tea caddy I saw earlier. I felt they worked out better for a country western theme and I really loved the way they looked. But, I came so close to choosing one of the candle holders as our ceramic favor because they were just so smashing. With all the great decorating accessories at my disposal, our tables had the look of a real country wedding, and the rest of the motif was perfect too.
With the haystacks we set up and the white lights twinkled in the trees, it was the epitome of a country wedding. Our wedding cake topper was not to be believed, it was figurines of a cowgirl roping her man and hauling him to the altar. Our wedding cake topper was the hit of the evening, everyone loves a good laugh. In fact there were lots of laughs through the whole reception, with all the dancing and partying that was going on, we were all having a fantastic time. The kids really had a great time on the hayride we had all fixed up for everyone, and that had to be one of the best times ever.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. I bought for the ladies in my wedding party and my fiance chose the guys gifts, which were smashing little ceramic favors for the girls and really neat looking cowboy steins for the guys. We bought a flower girl tee shirt and a ring bearer tee shirt for the adorable kids in the wedding. Our wedding party and all our guests seemed to like the wedding favors we bought them.
I also bought a few extras for myself, like a sharp little western themed guestbook and pen, picture album and I even ordered a cowboy hat for me and my husband that said bride and groom on them. All in all, this country western themed wedding was really more than I had hoped for, it was spectacular and we all had such a great time.
