I bought all of my bridesmaids a lovely little pendant necklace and a birthstone necklace for my flower girl. My fiance bought personalized mugs for the groomsmen and a nice little watch for our ring boy, I think it had one of the super hero characters on it. But we decided we would pick out the wedding favors for our guests together. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it was gonna be. I found some lovely little soaps in dishes I thought would make a great gift, but he felt that was just too feminine, and I felt the things he was choosing was just too masculine for the ladies. Neither one of us wanted to get separate gifts for everyone, so we kept looking at the wedding favors selection to try to find something that would appeal to both genders.
Then we spotted some very nice letter openers and thought maybe a letter opener favor would be a great idea. It’s something that both sexes could use and they were very stylish. We decided to look some more for as many ideas as we could get. There are a number of possiblities when it comes to wedding favors, and we wanted to check out each one.
I found lots of beautiful favors for the ladies and some really neat gifts for the men. There were very nice picture frames and mini albums available. Plus a lot of novelty gifts for both men and women. I really liked the selection on candle favors, they were so gorgeous and not very expensive either, but we weren’t too sure how the guys would like getting candles. So we came up with a compromise and went with something that would be useful for the guys and attractive for the women. We found these really nice looking bottle opener favors. We thought that would probably be our best choice. You know that a bottle opener will get lots of use around the house and they have a nice assortment of novelty openers that will look nice hanging in the kitchen. That way both the guys and girls can enjoy their wedding favors. It was either that or buy separately for each. So we ordered the bottle openers for everyone.
The wedding ceremony was really beautiful and everything turned out perfect. Even the weather was cooperating. It was a bright sunny day, which is a really good thing considering we had an outdoor wedding. The garden was so lovely with all the gorgeous rose bushes around the trellis. This was indeed a picture perfect ceremony, and the reception was pretty awesome too. Everyone had a great time, there was lots of food and drinks, people laughing and dancing. It was a total success.
All the tables looked elegant with the crystal and the candles and flowers. Every table had red tablecloths which really helped to accent the rose garden even more. On each table I had placecard holders for all the guests according to the seating arrangement and decorative favor boxes for each of their gifts. They really did like the bottle opener favor we gave them as thank you gifts. They thought they were really unique and I even got a couple of compliments on what a great idea it was.
After we left the reception, we went home to get our things and head for the airport to start our fantastic honeymoon in the Bahamas. I could hardly wait to get there and spend two glorious weeks by the ocean. The wedding was great, the reception was great, and the honeymoon was really, really, great.
